Equipped with a GM-produced 215ci aluminum V8 engine, the wedge-shaped TR8 was the quickest of Triumph's TR series.
Early non-California cars had twin Stromberg carbs, later models were fitted with the Bosch L-Jetronic fuel injection.
Produced from 1978 through 1981, about 1,000 TR8 convertibles and 200 coupes were built.
