Large and comfortable, powerful V8 motors, chrome upon chrome, two and three-tone paint schemes -
these are American cars of the Fifties!
There was an enormous amount of design talent during this time. Raymond Loewy, Harley Earl, Elwood Engel - these were just a few who gave us styles and innovations that last to this day.
The Chrysler 300, Ford Thunderbird, Chevy Impala and the Corvette are still with us, and retractable hardtops have made a comeback.
It's a shame the Fifties only lasted 10 years.
