Benelli 900 Sei
In 1978, the six-cylinder Benelli's engine displacement was increased to 906cc, making top-end speeds of 125-mph obtainable. Additionally, cruising speeds were achieved at lower engine revs.
Styling changes for the 900 Sei included a small, fork-mounted fairing wrapped around the gauges, and fuel tank hidden beneath outer body panels. Spoke wheels were replaced by cast wheels, the rear drum brake was replaced by a disc unit, and a more conventional six-into-two exhaust system replaced the original three pipes per side.
