1959 Chevy El Camino
Built in response to the success of the Ford Ranchero, the first-generation El Camino was based on Chevy's full-size two-door station wagon body. Several engines were available, including a tripower 348-cid V-8. 22,246 El Caminos were sold in 1959, beating out 14,169 Ranchero sales.
